Press Releases

For immediate release: Newport Beach, CA, February 4, 2009

Peanut Corp of America has expanded its recall to include all peanut products produced in PCA’s Blakely, Georgia plant since January 1, 2007. In response to that recall, Promax has expanded its list of items we are voluntarily withdrawing. As previously noted in the initial press release, we have and continue to test all production lots of our bars and all of our tests have been negative for any presence to Salmonella. To ensure the safety of our consumers, we are taking the precautionary step of voluntarily withdrawing the following products from the marketplace.

If you are in possession of any of the following bars — please do not consume the bar. You can apply for a refund by locating the Best Buy code on the back of the wrapper, cutting it out, and sending it to Promax Nutrition Corp. along with the consumer refund form (download here). For more information, please contact Promax Customer Service at 888-728-8962.

“We regret any inconvenience we have caused our consumers, but due to the increased concern for public safety, we are erring on the side of extreme caution in order to maintain the highest level of safety for our consumers” – Tim Welch, President and CEO, Promax Nutrition Corp.

No other Promax bars are involved in this withdrawal
